Garlic Bhindi

Garlic Bhindi

Ingredients-


  •  12-15 bhindi (okra)
  •   4 large cloves garlic, sliced thin
  •   1 T oil
  •   1 T fresh lemon juice
  •   salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Instructions-


  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the okra with a kitchen towel. Remove stem ends and tips and make a long slit in each bhindi.
  2. Heat the oil in a nonstick pan, add the garlic and saute 4-5 seconds without browning it.
  3. Add the okra, salt and saute for a few minutes till tender. Do not cover.
  4. Add fresh ground pepper. Remove from heat, stir in lemon juice and serve hot.

Note : It is important to dry the okra well to avoid stickiness.
