Description
California-Grown. Regeneratively Farmed. Harvested for Peak Flavor. Shipped Fresh. Never Chemically Treated to Extend Shelf Life.
Fresh lemongrass brings bright citrus aroma, gentle sweetness, and a clean herbal finish to both savory dishes and drinks. Grown in California and harvested fresh, our lemongrass arrives as fragrant stalks ready for teas, broths, curries, marinades, sauces, and more.
Flavor & Aroma
Expect a lively lemon fragrance without the sharp acidity of citrus juice. The stalks release layers of citrus, ginger-like warmth, and subtle floral flavor when sliced, crushed, or simmered.
How to Use
- Remove any dry outer layers and trim the root end.
- Bruise whole stalks before simmering them in soups, broths, or tea.
- Finely slice or mince the tender lower portion for curries, marinades, and sauces.
- Remove larger fibrous pieces before serving.
Use the Whole Plant
Grocery stores often sell only the white base, but the green leaves are highly aromatic and flavorful too. Wrap them into a simple figure eight, then steep in hot water for tea or simmer in soups, curries, and gravies. Remove before serving.
Storage
Keep lemongrass refrigerated in a sealed bag or container. For longer storage, trim and freeze the stalks whole or sliced. Frozen lemongrass can be added directly to cooked dishes.
Grown With Care in California
Our lemongrass is grown using regenerative practices focused on healthy soil, resilient plants, and naturally flavorful produce. It is harvested fresh and never chemically treated after harvest to extend shelf life.
Fresh from Freshpicked California, because real flavor needs no intervention.
